Everything in this collection of TVCs, social videos, post campaign reports and pitch videos was conceived, written and directed by me, unless stated otherwise. I also worked closely with the camera operators and editors who made these look so fantastic.
TRIPLE M ROCKS FOOTY | 2019 SIZZLE REEL
I wrote the script, sourced the commentary and match highlights, cast and directed the voice over talent to create this video promoting Triple M’s involvement of the upcoming AFL seasons. It was then presented to prospective clients, encouraging them to sponsor and advertise during Triple M’s Aussie Rules coverage.
HOME TIMBER & HARDWARE | ‘BARRY THE BLOKE’
For this campaign, the client had already conceived the character of “Barry the Bloke”, a self professed home handyman hero full of unearned confidence in his DIY skills. Based on the client’s character description, I wrote a series of radio commercials bringing Barry, and his unique home improvement ideas, to life. Those radio commercials were then animated into a series of videos shared across Home Timber & Hardware’s social channels.
CARLTON DRAUGHT | ‘FOAM-MO’ PITCH
CUB’s advertising agency had developed the idea of “Foam-Mo”, a campaign to promote Carlton Draught as the freshest beer in Melbourne. I was part of a creative and content team who developed a pitch to bring the “Foam-Mo” message to Melbourne via radio. As part of the of the presentation to CUB, I wrote and directed this video, showing why Triple M was the perfect media partner to spread the message of “Foam-Mo” freshness.
TRIPLE M TOWNSVILLE | ‘TOWNSVILLE AS’ TVC CAMPAIGN
Since 1931, 4TO had been synonymous with radio in Townsville. The undisputed number 1 radio station for many years, it was a heritage brand known and loved by locals. So when it was time to for 4TO to become Triple M as part of a national re-brand of dozens of radio stations across Australia, it was integral that listeners knew that while their favourite radio station may have a new name, it was still their station. To highlight this, I conceived and wrote a TVC campaign based around 4TO’s / Triple M’s beloved, long time breakfast show host and local legend, “Pricey”. With Pricey at the front and centre of this re-brand, the Triple M name may have been new, but it was immediately “Townsville as”.
GIO INSURANCE | ‘FUEL THE FIRE’ POST CAMPAIGN REPORT
Few rivalries in Aussie sport as as fierce as Queensland versus New South Wales in the State of Origin. When NSW was at their lowest, the team’s sponsor, GIO, developed a campaign that would use that slump (and QLD’s growing cockiness) as inspiration to “Fuel the Fire”, galvanization NSW fans and players. I was a part of the Triple M team that developed and executed a campaign to amplify the “Fuel the Fire” message across Triple M’s radio and social assets. I wrote this video as part of a post campaign report, highlighting just how successful our amplification was.
TRIPLE M | ‘ONLY ONE’ REGIONAL REBRAND
In 2017, SCA rebranded dozens of individually named regional radio stations from right across Australia to bring them all under the Triple M banner. A TV campiagn was developed by SCA Marketing that would combine the network’s nationally famous talent, with the local names and faces that were identities in their own markets.
Over two weeks, I led a film crew all around Australia, project managing, producing and directing shoots with local talent in six different markets. With crew changing across the many shoots, I was also responsible for maintaining the consistent tone of voice and visual style essential to a seamless post production process.
